B

Explanation:

Answer 2

The author's "style" in an expository essay is the touch and feel the particular use of words and sentences that conveys the author's personality. So, The correct answer is B.

The way the author presents their ideas through words and phrases is referred to as their writing style in expository essays. This comprises the terminology, sentence structure, and figurative language the author uses. The attitude, upbringing, and writing habits of the author might also have an impact on their writing style.

The alternate choices are false. The author's style has nothing to do with the subject matter they chose (A). Although it is not the author's style, the essay's mastery of its subject (C) is a crucial component. The essay's aim, not the author's writing style, is what is emphasized in the essay (D).

Which sentence has an inappropriate shift in number? Pet owners should be prepared to take care of their pets for a long time. If my friend calls, tell them I'm at my violin lesson. I talked to my aunt on the phone, and she told me a funny story. Scott and Julie showed the judging panel their science fair project. PLEASE HELP QUICK

Answers

Answer:

The sentence that has an inappropriate shift in number is:

If my friend calls, tell them I'm at my violin lesson.

Explanation:

In the sentence "If my friend calls, tell them I'm at my violin lesson," the speaker is at first talking only of one person, which is why he uses "friend" in its singular form. However, later in the sentence, the speaker refers back to the noun "friend" with the pronoun "them", and this is where the inappropriate shift in number happens. "Them" is a plural noun. For the sentence to be correct, the speaker would have to use either "him" or "her" to refer back to "friend".

Answer:

If my friend calls, tell them I'm at my violin lesson.

The conditions were not pleasant at all. Slaves were housed in dungeons and because they didn’t know where they were going moral was very low. They were treated terribly and was beaten and branded and survival rates were very low. All together, it was a nightmarish experience.

O Large rewards are being offered to capture and kill pythons.
People who brought them here as pets created the problem.

Answers

Answer: Pythons are negatively affecting the local ecosystem.

Explanation:

Thousand of pythons are living in the Everglades, is just a fact.

Large rewards are being offered to capture and kill pythons, is also a statement. It's not a reason why pythons should be hunted, just a fact on what you'll get if you kill pythons. Of course... there is a reason why pythons should be hunted, but it is not stated here, so it's not the answer.

People who brought them here as pets created the problem. This isn't explaining the problem, just creating a scapegoat.

Many things can hurt or help your reputation along the lines, especially when you are looking to get a job. Also if you were in an organization like Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts cause that shows determination and bravery.
