8. Why is the pipel hanged?
9. What is the reputation of the pipel and the fifty-second cable unit? 10. What makes the
hanging of the pipel different from the other hangings the prisoners have witnessed?

Answers

Answer:

1. Elie's first impression of the camp at Buna is that it is very dead and empty. He sees prisoners and they tell him that it is not a bad of a camp as Auschwitz. Looked as if ad been through an epidemic, but the inmates had agreed that it was a good camp and they could hold their own. Settled into 'Kommandos' which were groups of prisoners.

2. The dentist is looking for gold teeth in the prisoner's mouths, and those who had it, like Elie had a gold crown, were listed by number.

3. Elie tells the dentist that he does not feel well and that he has a fever, and asks the dentist to wait a few days before he takes out Elie's gold crown.

4. Elie's stomach is aware of the passage of time because there is little food and he is surviving on very little. His stomach was always empty, and always growling.

5. Idek beats Elie's father because he was on edge, and when he exploded, his victim was Elie's father, yelling at him about how he was not working. Elie's first reaction to the beating was watching and not moving. Elie did not move, and he kept silent, and he even thought of moving away so he would not be hit. He then began to feel anger toward his father, questioning why he couldn't dodge Idek's anger. Whenever Idek was angry he just looked for someone to beat on and look for someone to hurt, and Elie's father just happened to be in his way this time. Idek can turn on violence and turn it off very abruptly. No one knows what his fury was about. It could have been about what he had to do, or something else.

6. When Idek sees Elie out of his place and not working, he decided to whip him. He whips him 25 times, before threatening to do it five times more of he told anyone what he saw.

7. The Americans bomb the camp at Buna with planes, lasting for over an hour.

8. The pipel was hanged because they had found him to be possessing weapons that he was not aloud to have and they had condemned him to die.

9. The young boy was known as a sad angel, a small smile in many frowns, and was loved by many.

10. The pipel was a very young boy, so when he was hanged he was too light, and did not die for about another half hour, he just struggled in the noose. So the prisoners all had to look him in the face and not help him.

Overwhelmed Excited Distant Sympathetic

Answers

overwhelmed is your answer sir,

The words "heavy," "bulging," and "torn" create the mood of being overwhelmed. So the correct option is A.

There is a sense of heaviness, strain, and sorrow in these words. "Heavy" conveys a sense of being burdened down by something and connotes a weight or strain that is difficult to bear. By implying that something is inflated or protruding, the word "bulging" can conjure up feelings of stress or pressure.

"Torn" connotes a condition of being ripped or injured, which might represent stress on the body or the mind. Together, these terms depict a tight and difficult situation in which the pressure of obligations or feelings is too much to bear.

Answers

Not completely sure of the topic, but I'll try here.

Allen has a photographic memory when it comes to remembering faces, so it was quite a surprise when a stranger asked, “Don’t you know me?” and Allen was forced to say “No.” The stranger issued a simple, “You’ll remember,” before leaving Allen’s store. The visit was familiar to Allen; he hated having such a strange gap in the memory he often boasted about. That evening at home, Allen perused every record of customer names and addresses he could find, hoping to spark his memory.

If there are specific answers or a rubric or anything like that, do not submit this, I only attempted to put the sentence together as an idea for you.

Answer:

Allen has a terrible memory when it comes to remembering faces, so it was a challenge when a stranger asked, “Don’t you know me? and Allen was forced to say “No.” The stranger issued a simple, “you’ll remember,” before leaving Allen’s store. The visit was stressful to Allen; he hated having such an important gap in the memory he often boasted about. That evening at home, Allen perused every file of customer names and addresses he could find, hoping to spark his memory.

What play separates Shakespeare from other playwrights of the time? Why do
you think this play is so important? Explain.

Answers

Answer:

Shakespeare, however, had the wit and wisdom to steal plots and ideas from a lot of the plays of that era and top them with better poetry. He also had more insight into characters' feelings and motives, and cleverer handling of light and dark, change of pace, and the weighing up of right and wrong. In other words, His plays give us the greatest sense of the value of human life; of how people live; of how people love and of the importance of human relationships than any other writers of his time or of any other time. Shakespeare's plays are as popular as they are because he was perhaps the greatest writer who has ever lived.

Americans were able to grow enough food for their families as well as to sell. The abundance caused food prices to fall. The expansion of cotton and the growth of textile factories in northern states helped produce the first wave of American industry. More people turned to work in northern factories as a way to support their families. Thousands of immigrants to the United States also settled in or near port cities, looking for work. Even today, the need for work is a common reason people move to urban areas. As a result, cities grew in numbers of people and physical space. As more people and businesses moved in, they needed buildings for living and working. They needed ways to move around the city. We call this process urbanization. In 1820, the United States had only a few cities of 10,000 residents or more. About seven percent of U.S. residents lived in urban areas. The number of cities with more than 10,000 people grew quickly over the next 40 years, especially in the Northeast and Midwest. By 1860, about 20 percent lived in cities. Philadelphia and New York City were the most populated cities in 1860 and would soon reach one million residents. The urbanization of the United States quickened due to technology improvements. Without innovations in food production, the factories could not have grown so quickly. The trend quickened after 1860 and continued throughout the 21st century as well.
