Answer:

Explanation:

Adjectives and adverbs

Adjectives and adverbs are both words that describe something. If anyone has ever asked you to describe something in detail, you probably used some adverbs and adjectives along the way. But it can be easy to mix them up and forget which is which, so it's important to know how each one is used.

What is an adjective?

An adjective is a word that describes a noun. In other words, it tells us more about a particular person, place, or thing.

What is an adverb?

An adverb is a word that describes a verb. Just like adjectives, adverbs are used to add detail to a sentence. More specifically, adverbs tell us how, when, or where something happened. In the example above, the word deeply describes how he was staring, so deeply is an adverb. In this sentence, it means he was staring in a deep way. If his staring had been weird, we could have said he was staring weirdly.

How would you describe the style of the young woman pictured on the page what led you to this conclusion support your idea with at least three facts

Answers

I'd say that her style is bright and retro, and even psychedelic -- she's sporting sunglasses that were particularly in-trend during the '80s, and her dress's polka dots are a quintessential representation of that age. Her haircut was very common in the eighties as well, and while her outfit is black and white, her lipstick is bright red -- symbolizing "bubbliness" and embodying a pop-eighties fashion trend. Fishnet gloves, while not very common nowadays, wasn't exactly rare in the 1980s, either.

Consider the following scenario. Your 3 year old child is not feeling well and is running a fever. You go to your local pharmacy to buy some over the counter pain medication. You see four different types. The boxes of each have the following information: “Pain Relief for Children” says the following on the box: “Yummy cherry flavored”. “Stop Fevers” says the following on the box: “One out of ten doctors prefers to use “Stop Fevers.” “Fever Go Away” says the following on the box: “Nine out of ten doctors give ‘Fever Go Away’ to their own children.” “Fever Medication for Children” says the following on the box: “Many librarians use “Fever Medication for Children.” Read each description carefully. Which one of these four medications would you use on your own child? Why? Explain

Answers

Explanation:

Information

Pain medicines are also called analgesics. Each kind of pain medicine has benefits and risks. Some types of pain respond better to one kind of medicine than to another kind. What takes away your pain might not work for someone else.

Taking pain medicines before exercising is OK. But do not overdo the exercise just because you have taken the medicine.

Read labels to learn how much medicine you can give your child at one time and during the whole day. This is known as the dosage. Talk to your pharmacist or your child's health care provider if you are not sure about the correct amount. Do not give children medicine that is meant for adults.

Other tips for taking pain medicines:

If you take pain relievers on most days, tell your provider. You may need to be watched for side effects.

Do not take more than the amount recommended on the container or more than your provider tells you to take.

Read the warnings on the label before taking the medicine.

Store medicine safely and securely. Check the dates on medicine containers to see when you should throw them away.

ACETAMINOPHEN

Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is known as a non-aspirin pain reliever. It is NOT an NSAID, which is described below.

Acetaminophen relieves fever and headaches, and other common aches and pains. It does not relieve inflammation.

This medicine does not cause as many stomach problems as other pain medicines do. It is also safer for children. Acetaminophen is often recommended for arthritis pain because it has fewer side effects than other pain medicines.

Examples of OTC brands of acetaminophen are Tylenol, Paracetamol, and Panadol.

Acetaminophen prescribed by a doctor is usually a stronger medicine. It is often combined with a narcotic ingredient.

PRECAUTIONS

Adults should not take more than 3 grams (3,000 mg) of acetaminophen in a single day. Large amounts can harm your liver. Remember that 3 grams is about the same as 6 extra-strength pills or 9 regular pills.

People with liver disease should usually not take more than 2 grams (2,000 mg) of acetaminophen in a single day. Check with your health care provider for guidance on what is safe for you.

If you are also taking pain medicine prescribed by your provider, talk to your provider or pharmacist before taking any OTC acetaminophen.

For children, follow package instructions for the maximum amount your child can have in a single day. Call your child's provider if you are not sure about the instructions.

about teen heroes

Answers

Answer:

Teen Heros can help people by doing the right thing

Explanation:

i suck at this but sorry

Answer:

When someone asks you who your favorite hero is, you probably wouldn’t answer by saying your parents. I sure don’t, usually I’ll say Spiderman or maybe Captain America. But that’s not the truth, more specifically it isn’t my truth. If I’m being completely honest, my first and favorite hero is my dad.

Since before I was born, my dad always knew he was going to love me with all his heart. All the sacrifices, tough decisions, and sleepless nights he spent, were all for me. I remember learning about how my dad came to this country with my grandparents and his siblings looking for a better life for the future generations, knowing there were risks, and risking it all. Learning about how he dropped out of highschool to work to support his family, not knowing how it would affect him in the long run. He did all that for me, although maybe he didn’t know it then. Me being born was the best thing that ever happened to him, he even wrote me a letter! I remember times where I would wake him up in the middle of the night, asking him for piggy back rides and for him to stay up with me to watch those corny shows in Spanish that I couldn’t really understand but thought they were interesting anyways, and he would he would do it even if it was after a long day. The joy and excitement I felt every time he came home from work with a doll in his hand, tired but still willing to give me the world. Or, my favorite story, how my dad would go to the store and buy me a Tweety themed cake and balloons even though it wasn’t my birthday because he knew how much I liked to stuff my face with cake. We were each other’s everything, the sun, the moon, the stars, and more.

My sister was born on October 4, 2008. That day our lives changed, I still don’t know if it was for the better or worst. She was sick. The doctors only gave her a month to live. I still couldn’t understand anything besides the fact that my parents were sad, and I was alone. She went through so much in the span of a year, three organ transplants and multiple hospitalizations, during which my dad assumed the role of my mom. My poor mother was by my sister’s side the entire time. I did everything with him, from sleeping in his bed because I was scared, to going to work with him every single day. Oh, and of course complaining to him that I was hungry everyday after school. This went on for years. When I wasn’t with him I was at my grandparent’s house, or on rare occasions, with my sister and my mom.

When I was in elementary school, I would say I liked Batman, because that was, and still is, my dad’s favorite superhero. I didn’t really care for heroes when I was younger, I just knew the basics. They were people with superhuman abilities. But, I think my dad fits under that category. He has the ability to make me feel happy and joyful, even if I’m mad. He makes me feel safe, and warm, and loved. Although sometimes I may get angry or moody, I will always love him.

Our Baby

Today I write these words for my child, who is on the way. I can say that I feel like the luckiest man in the world to have been able to find a woman like my wife. She has returned my happiness. I’m happy about everything, how things have turned out. Now, I only care about my child, who I already feel like I love so much, and who I know I will love even more when they are with me. I wish more than anything for my baby to be born. So I can hug, caress, and kiss it and be able to share them with the world. A child is the best thing that could have ever happened to me.

How to properly produce an informative speech to the audience?
#help please

Answers

1. Choose a Precise Topic

By precise, we mean if there's any way to take a more generalized topic and narrow it down into more specific terms, go that route.

For example, you could inform your audience on the history of yoga, or you could inform your audience on a particular form of yoga. The more specific you get, the easier and more targeted your research will be. Your delivery will benefit tremendously too.

2. Draft an Effective Thesis Statement

With your topic of interest, it's time to draft a thesis statement. If you've done it right, your thesis statement will summarize the entirety of your speech in one concise sentence. It doesn't have to be dry either.

Let's continue with our yoga theme. If you opt to discuss restorative yoga specifically, your thesis statement can be something like, "Restorative yoga is a slow moving practice geared toward gentle healing." Now, your audience understands the direction your informative speech is about to take and will, hopefully, be interested in learning more.

In What Is a Thesis Statement?, we help you understand the importance of this one line. We also provide a few samples to help you get your mind in the right place.

3. Consider Your Crowd

This one may seem like common sense, but it's more than just choosing the right topic. It's true that you wouldn't deliver an informative speech on the V8 engine of a Cobra to a classroom full of fledgling beauticians. But, there's more to consider than appropriateness.

You also want to write an informative speech with language that's simple. Try to forego too many complex terms or inflated language when simpler terms will do. Always speak to the guest in the room, or the person with the least knowledge in the room. This will keep your message clear, your thesis statement apparent, and your audience in tune.

4. Start Your Outline

Armed with your thesis statement and a clear vision of your crowd, it's time to start taking everything you want to say and lining it up in a clear and concise manner. If you've been able to take your topic to more specific terms, you're already one step ahead of the game.

This will vary, based on time constraints, but try to aim for about three poignant points. This will give you three pertinent details to share about your topic while you bolster them with interesting facts, statistics, and narratives. Or, if your informative speech is taking on more of a "how to" formula, then an outline will help ensure you're laying out the proper steps for success.

There are four main types of informative speeches:

Descriptive - These speeches help the audience develop specific images and understandings of particular people, places, or things. For example, you might deliver an informative speech on a particular region of the world.

Demonstrative - These speeches describe how to perform a specific action. For example, you might demonstrate to your audience how to setup their new MacBook Pro.

Explanation - These speeches explain a topic. For example, you might explain the current state of affairs with the election process.

Definition - This type of speech will require a more in-depth topic. You're explaining a concept or theory. For example, you might define photosynthesis and explain its impact on the ecosystem.

No matter the type of speech you select, a Keyword Outline may be your best friend. It'll help you maintain a clear vision and ensure you've covered all the important components of your topic.

5. End With a Call to Action

Most articles and essays end with a call to action. An informative essay is, of course, different than a persuasive essay. But, if your topic is interesting enough, it'll naturally entice the audience to want to learn more.

Let's return to our example of restorative yoga. Even if your speech is purely information (the history of the practice, the benefits touted by doctors and therapists, the number of people in the world who practice it, and so on), if it's interesting enough, it will persuade the audience to think about it further.

Suggest people read more about your topic. Encourage them to never stop learning. These gentle, altruistic calls to action are a nice way to wrap up and encourage your audience to keep learning.
