explain the relationship between an art gallery and an artists

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

This project consisted of a two year investigation into the overarching concept of the relationship between the artist, audience and artwork.

Inspired by Roland Barthes writings of the Death Of The Author I started to dissect, with using a performative methodology, the framework to understand my involvement in art and through breaking the framework down, I began to create a series of performances that looked at a specific power relationship. these performances were:

The Audience And The Artwork

The Artist Becoming the Artwork

The Artist And The Artwork

The Artist And The Audience

Throughout the investigation into the the conceptual framework my research consisted of a library of different sources. Which helped to develop my practice contextually, critically and theoretically.

I was interested through exploring in my theory and artist research how; Memory, Documentation, Body, and Audience have been addressed.

Specific theorists surrounding performance studies:

Clare Bishop: Participation and Artificial Hells

Philip Auslander: Liveness, Theory of Performance Study, The Performativity of Performance Document

Jacques Derrida: Of Hospitality

Research that I have looked at relating to performance from an outside perspective:

Roland Barthes: Death of the Author

The Crucible: Arthur Miller

Relational Aesthetics: Nicholas Burrio

Plato’s Allegory of the Cave

Sartre: No Exit Play

Artists:

Haley Newman

Olivier De Sagazan

Tino Seghal

Marina Abramovic

My intention was to investigate into the relationship between the artis, audience and the artwork I purposely chose to look at performance, and, in particular, the involvement of the artist (body) as I wanted to physically involve myself in this personal dialogue between the artist and the audience. This allowed me to engage with the audience through a non-verbal dialogue. This relationship can be both personal and impersonal conversation of judgments and expectations. Throughout the exploration into performance I constructed a series of investigations that evolved around the relationship between the artist and the audience.

Both these examples show how artists use line as both a form of writing and a visual art ... In other words, an artist may try to make parts of a flat image appear ...

Explanation:

Answer:

Artists use color value to generate various emotions.

Light sources are frequently used to characterize a light source or reflected light inside a composition.

It's impossible to have light without dark.

As a result, I'd like to balance both dark and bright hues in my final creation.

As much as feasible, the painting's surface would be flat.

Who is Medusa in Percy Jackson book

Answers

Answer:

Medusa is a lady who had an affair with posiden under Athena's statue thing and Athena cursed her to be the most ugly creature ever. Anyone who looks at her turns to stone.

Explanation:

hope this helps

Answer:

Medusa is one of the Three Gorgons, sister of Stheno and Euryale. While they are all hideously ugly, Medusa is the only one among them with the power to petrify people with her gaze.

Storyline Behind Her:

Medusa was a daughter of Phorcys and Keto, and was once a priestess of Athena. Poseidon was bitter at Athena for recently turning his beloved Koroneis into a raven, so he decided to get back at her by becoming obsessed with the beautiful girl. Despite being warned about sea gods by her sisters, she was actually flattered that Poseidon liked her. He took her to a town's temple for Athena. As a result of the two getting romantic at the foot of the statue of her, the infuriated and disgusted Athena cursed Medusa, much to Poseidon's horror and dismay. The girl's hair was turned into serpents and any mortal who would look upon her gaze would turn to stone. Eventually, she ended up living in a cave far from civilization with just her sisters, Stheno and Euryale, the three were called the Gorgons. Medusa's sisters were eventually made immortal, though they do not have the power to turn people to stone like her.

Medusa had two children with Poseidon, Chrysaor, who was born from her neck, and another child, Pegasus. At first, these two children were trapped inside her after she was turned into a monster but were later born from her blood when Perseus beheaded her while the Gorgon was asleep. The hero would subsequently use Medusa's severed head to defeat Poseidon's ferocious sea monster saving his future wife, Andromeda, in the process. (Sorry for all bold I didn't mean to lol)

Answers

Answer:

The vision of society prevented her from exploring her talent and creativity, in addition to preventing her from being recognized for the works she created.

Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel is a great example of how women were repressed in any social sphere and in any activity that placed them in a privileged position on any issue. That's because Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel was a great composer, but in addition to the oppression promoted by her social class, she was oppressed by the social view towards women, which prevented Fanny from being able to explore her compositions in the same way that men did. In addition, she was banned from being recognized for her works, as she had to allow her brothers to take the credit for her compositions.
