Hand-to-hand combat had been essential to infantry warfare. The machine gun, which could eliminate rows upon rows of infantry from a distance on the battlefield, gained popularity during World War I.

Movement over open country became challenging and dangerous due to this weapon, barbed wire, and mines. Trench warfare was therefore established. In order to push the front, the British adopted tanks in 1916 along with artillery and aircraft. The threat to soldiers increased with the development of chemical warfare.

Killing from a distance was also made more efficient by aerial and maritime weaponry. Targets might be hit by ship-mounted guns up to 20 kilometres inland.

What does the broken chain refer for?

Answers

A  broken chain is principally an indication of freedom. On the off chance that you've "broken your chains," it connotes that whatever was keeping you down is presently not an issue.

Broken chains address what?

A messed up chain addressed freedom from subjection. A solitary pole can be broken easily, but not an entire heap of bars or fasces. It addresses the power tracked down in unity.

For what reason does a broken chain address freedom?

Chains are utilized to restrict somebody's opportunity, confine their development, and keep up with command over them. To keep them as a slave or detainee, to put it another way. Broken chains represent independence from treacherous detainment and bondage. This is one of the most impressive and persevering images of opportunity.

What is the reason SeaWorld is planning to increase the size of its orca enclosure?

Answers

Answer:

PR

Explanation:

Pressure from animal activists and a certain documentary called Blackfish made in 2013 revealed how SeaWorld was mistreating its orcas and exploiting them for financial gain. And also they were breeding them in captivity which was pretty bad. Orcas have a natural life expectancy of 30-50 years in the wild and can live much longer. But in SeaWorld the average age of their death is 14.

But what really broke the camel's back was that less people were going to SeaWorld because of the bad press and their stock prices were plummeting. So they planned to increase the size of their orca tanks in 2015 and regain some of that public goodwill. To do so they applied to the California Coastal Commission to do so. However they weren't expecting the Commission to also require them to stop the captive breeding as well so they weren't very happy. In the end they sued the Commission for it but later dropped the case as well as the plans to expand the orca tanks. More recently in January of last year (2020) they have changed their orca show to be more educational and less showy but it isn't much of an improvement at all.

Although Sea World also promised to end captive breeding too which was a good thing but basically the bare minimum of what they should be doing which is just stopping the whole show entirely cause orcas aren't really meant to do shows or even be in an aquarium in the first place. They are intelligent and social creatures like dolphins (who also shouldn't be kept in captivity either), and no tank is really large enough. All captive male orcas have floppy fins because they aren't able to swim enough or eat well, and as mentioned before, they don't live long.

Also, they aren't called killer whales for nothing --- many trainers over the years have been killed by orcas. Dolphins in captivity have also been known to become violent towards people as well, and have even drowned themselves on occasion. I might be biased against SeaWorld but well, the facts are there.

So yeah, it was for PR basically. it never got through though --- how old is this question actually?

To formulate an opinion, review the hitory of Europe and the Near Eat between the reign of Diocletian in late antiquity and the chim itelf, which took place during the Middle Age. Support your opinion with clear, relevant example

Answers

It is debatable whether the fall of Rome was a major factor in the East-West schism that occurred several centuries later. The fall of Rome happened. Some historians believe that the fall of Rome caused the East-West split, as the eastern and western halves of the Roman Empire developed different cultural and religious traditions during the period of barbaric invasion and eventual fall of the Western Roman Empire.

The Eastern Roman Empire, which came to be known as the Byzantine Empire, continued to thrive while maintaining links with the Greek-speaking world and Eastern Christian traditions. In contrast, the Western Roman Empire, which was neither economically nor culturally developed, was more vulnerable to barbarian invasion and eventually collapsed.

Some argue that the East-West schism was the result of political and ecclesiastical factors that developed during the Middle Ages, such as power struggles between the Popes and Byzantine emperors, theological differences, and the rise of nationalism in the East and West. church.

In my opinion, the fall of Rome may have laid the groundwork for the final schism between the Eastern and Western Churches, but it was not the primary factor in creating the East-West schism. The schism was a complex and multifactorial event, the result of centuries of political, cultural, and religious development.

The Manhattan Project was developed to create an atomic weapon with the purpose of ending World War II by defeating Germany. With Germany's defeat, some scientists were concerned that there was no need for an atomic weapon, given that the war had already been won.

This concern was further compounded by the fact that Japan was not considered a major threat at the time, making the further development of atomic weapons seem unnecessary.

To establish a one-party socialist state known as the dictatorship of the proletariat, a vanguard party, structured through democratic centralism, would seize power on behalf of the proletariat.

Vladimir Lenin was aware of how dissatisfied the Russian populace was.

He made a number of promises to them, including peace, bread, and land. The Bolsheviks, a group of revolutionaries, were led by Lenin.
