Answer 1

Answer:

Explanation below

Explanation:

Electoral collage is outdated for the following reasons below

(1)

Many people are of the opinion that the reason for creating the Electoral College have been defeated. Modern technology and the different political parties come up with different ways to pass on necessary information to voters that would enable them make better decisions during election.

Electors were seen to be free form bias but these members are now being selected by the different political parties and they are expected to vote their party members whether they like the chosen candidate or not.

(2)

The electoral college of the United States of America gives excessive powers to swing states, and that in some ways do allow a few states to decide the outcome of the presidential election. The two major parties can bank on winning electoral votes in some states without getting their heads around the actual vote totals.

There are a group of eleven states known as the battleground states. President Trump and Hilary Clinton did more than ninety percent of their campaigns in those states. Ohio, Florida, Pennsylyvania and North Carolina are  four of the battle states that received most visits from the presidential election candidates at that time .

(3)

The idea of one person one vote cannot be feasible due to the Electoral College system because the votes from the masses are not rightly distributed according to the number of people in those areas. Each state would get one electoral vote for their member in the house of representative. There is an overrepresentation of small states in the Electoral College, many would say, due to this arrangement.

Explanation:

Dr. Smith is curious about ways to improve worker productivity. She believes that employees with harsher work environments might actually be more productive, because they are less relaxed and more driven. She gets permission from a sales company to conduct a research study, and she splits the company’s employees into two groups by having people pull a piece of paper out of a hat – each piece of paper has either "bright" or "dim" written on it. The people in the "bright" group have their lighting replaced with harsh, bright light bulbs, and the people in the "dim" group have their lighting replaced with soft, pleasant light bulbs. She then measures their productivity over a 4-week period, and finds that the people in the "harsh" group actually make more sales than the people in the "dim" group.

Which of the following represents the operational dependent variable?

a. worker productivity
b. number of sales made
c. harshness of work environment
d. type of lighting (bright or dim)

Answers

Answer:

Option a (worker productivity) is the correct approach.

Explanation:

Productivity seems to be a measure including its effectiveness of transforming inputs towards usable outputs of an individual, plant, manufacturer, or perhaps a device. Job efficiency seems to be a dependent variable here. The Dependent variable would be what the investigator tests during an investigation. Here, by adjusting independent factors, the investigator tests job efficiency.

All other decisions taken are also not connected to the example in the case offered. So, the solution above is indeed the right one.

What type of weather conditions will most likely occur if a thunderstorm is approaching in the area
A.a decrease in wind speed and temperature
B.an decrease in wind speed and precipitation
C.an increase in wind speed and a decrease in precipitation
D.a decrease in wind speed and an increase in air pressure

Answers

Answer:

C). An increase in wind speed and a decrease in precipitation.

Explanation:

A thunderstorm is characterized as a storm that consists of thunder and lightning produced by cumulonimbus(a cloud with a tall structure and flat base) usually accompanied with heavy rain, strong winds, hails sometimes as well. Thus, the weather conditions that would most likely occur during a thunderstorm would be 'an increase in wind speed and a decrease in precipitation' and low air pressure. Thus, option C is the correct answer.

can u please help me write 5 small paragraphs the picture is above i really need this its due by 9:00pm please help meh

Answers

Explanation:

well be very detailed in your paragraphs and make the items your going to bring with you interesting and important ! i hope this helps <3

Answer:

Explanation:

If I were to go on an island for a week alone with no electricity or internet I would bring three items with me. Now, these three items I would bring is 2 gallons of water, canned foods, and matches. These three items are very big necessities due to the fact that there are limited things anyone can choose from. I thought really long and hard about this so hopefully these three things I choose you can agree with me. I believe I would need these three items to survive alone on an island and here is why.

First of all, we all need water in our systems so we don't dehydrate. I would take 2 gallons of water because the average amount of water a person needs is three quarts from a gallon. If I take 2 gallons of water it can last me 6 six days depending on how I use it. I can a gallon for three days and then move on to the next gallon of water. When I get to the last gallon of water I will use it wisely because I would need to save some to the last 7 days.

Everybody needs food because we need something sitting in our stomach so we don't go starving. I would take canned foods because there are no stoves or microwaves on the island since there is no electricity. Food is very important to bring because if I don't eat I can get sick by that. Food is also important because it has nutrients that give us the energy that will allow me to get up and the next day to do activities. I will explain how I can heat the food up and prepare it in my next paragraph.

Lastly, I would take matches on this island where I am alone. I would take matches because I can create a fire with the wood on the island. Not only it can create fire, but it can create light so I wouldn't have to bring a flashlight. I find the matches very useful because it can warm up the food in the cans I would take since I would be hungry. Once again since there are no stoves or microwaves on the island since there is no electricity using matches would be the smartest decision to warm up and prepare food.

In conclusion, I would bring all of these three supplies because I think they are the most important not only to survive but also for any emergencies. I hope others can agree with me and I find this very useful because I think I know what to prepare for an emergency. There were many things that I could've chosen from, but all of those things didn't seem like a smart choice. 2  gallons of water to not dehydrate, canned foods to give me nutrients that will give me energy, and matches to create fire/light is all I need to survive on an island alone. Overall, 2 gallons of water, canned foods, and matches will help me survive on an island alone where there is no electricity or internet.

In simple terms, it can be described as a third party benefiting or getting affected by the activities of someone/ something else.

Such cases can be seen in the dumping of waste into the by a paper mill, which affects the river even though the river isn't part of the paper mill industry. Answers

The Great Plains are a hub for resource extraction because they are rich in minerals and oil.

Oil and natural gas are produced throughout Texas, as well as in some areas of Oklahoma and Kansas. Coal is widely available in Wyoming, Montana, and the Dakotas.

Thus, Option B is correct.

Why is it referred to as the Great Plains?

Valleys frequently divide them. However, the region as a whole generally has a long surface of modest relief, making the term "Great Plains" well-deserved. The abrupt climb of the mountains typically clearly defines the western boundary of the plains.

There is a continental climate in the Great Plains. Over a large portion of their area, freezing winters and warm summers are the norms, with little precipitation and humidity, a lot of wind, and abrupt temperature variations.

What are some of the main differences and similarities between Mary hills and job alexander interviews? Cite evidence from the text in your response.

Answers

Answer:

The Trail of Tears Diary contains interviews which evidence the extraordinary resilience showed by the Native Americans after the Indian Removal Act of 1830, which was known as the Trail of Tears.

They both describe in detail the suffering lived by the natives, as they were forced to unexpectedly leave their homes in a painful and long trip, in which conditions were subhuman and many people were left to die as they could not make it to the end.

But the perspective of the two interviewees in very different. On the first hand, Mary tells the story lived by her grandparents, that she knows from the testimonies of her grandmother (as her grandfather did not survive), but Jobe Alexander lived the removal in his own flesh, so he witnessed the process.

While Mary focuses on describing the suffering of her family and the conditions in which the trip was made. Meanwhile, Jobe explains how some groups of Indian revolted against the federal soldiers and were able to scape and to make their living out of this removal. It is a very different viewpoint of the same fact.
