Think about how dance started, without any documentation and how it has evolved today. How has dance evolved and grown? How has technology facilitated its evolution? How has technology hindered its evolution. How do you use technology and dance?

Thank you!!!!

Answers

Answer:

hope it helped

Explanation:

John Toenjes, associate professor, music director, and co director of undergraduate education at Illinois is changing the way audiences enjoy live performances by working with the understanding that audiences today are glued to their technology.

Under most circumstances, audience members at Krannert Center performances would silence and put away devices and cell phones. In several recent performances organized by John Toenjes, the audience is encouraged to keep their devices in hand and use them to interact with and even guide the action.

After watching the film Jurassic Park 2, Toenjes was perplexed. “I was surprised at how intently people were glued to their cell phones, even when something as interesting as this high action, special effects movie was on the screen,” said Toenjes. “That’s when something sparked. Something clicked!”

Toenjes wondered, if seeing famous actors, special stunts and effects, and computer-generated imagery (CGI) in films can’t keep audiences off of their phones, why fight that. Why not embrace it?

Toenjes began working for the Illinois Department of Dance in 2001, where he developed a passion for interactive dance. He decided he wanted to literally alternate reality for audiences and connect them to the performance by integrating the technology of their personal cell phones.

As Toenjes began to develop his ideas about interactivity and dance performance, he started to use a new custom mobile application. The app served as a game where audience members had to solve puzzles that led to clues. And each clue had a connection with the live contemporary dances.

For example, some of the clues identified the performer speaking key words and then led to that person’s photo in a portrait gallery. The audience was then instructed to take a selfie with them.

Another feature allowed the audience to solve a puzzle while watching a dance. This clue would reveal a way in which the audience could choose how the dancer would communicate next and therefore change the progression of the performance.

As the app evolved, the development team added more functionality, allowing audience members to be more involved than ever before with dance performances. Without any training in choreography, the audience was able to direct the performance by selecting their preferred order of dance pieces through the app. The video below shows an example of this technology in use.

Describe the speaker in the poem "the rainy day"

Answers

Answer:

DRAFT #1:

I chose The Rainy Day by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow because the author offered a different perspective of one’s feeling during a rainy day. In the beginning of the poem, the author sets an ominous tone with several words connected to negativity like “dark” and “dreary.” Throughout the poem, the mood is very dark. The author writes that as an effect of the rainy day not only is the day cold, dark and dreary but now his life has also become cold, dark and dreary. “My life is cold, and dark, and dreary; It rains, and the wind is never weary;” The author offers a unique perspective that one can relate to, rainy days are something that many have experienced and a poem like this can attract a large audience because many have experienced the same exact feeling.

DRAFT #2:

In “The Rainy Day” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, the speaker offered a different perspective of one’s feelings during a rainy day. The first line of this poem reads as follows “The day is cold, and dark, and dreary.” In this line, the words used to describe the day like cold, dark and dreary have a strong symbolism and bring a negative connotation towards the rainy day. The author does a good job of setting the tone of the poem immediately in the first line of the poem. As you read the lines that follow, you will get a sense of the direction, in terms of tone, in what way the poem is leading towards. Later on in the poem, these feelings towards the rainy day are mentioned again and this time is referred to the effect the rainy day has towards the author’s life. “My life is cold, and dark, and dreary;” in this line, the author uses the same words he previously used to describe the rainy day to describe his life. Since he is describing his life and using words like “my” this means this poem is in the first person P.O.V.

In the final lines of the poem, there is a line that stands out as it ends the poem on a positive note. Throughout the poem, the tone has been dark and ominous but the author adds some light as we approach the end of the poem. “Be still, sad heart, and cease repining; Behind the clouds is the sun still shining;” these lines show that although one may not be in the best of times, there is always a positive almost a silver lining in every situation. The sun mentioned in the previous line is an example of connotation as this word is suggesting an additional meaning apart from its primary meaning. The sun is also an example of imagery as the sun stands for a light in those dark moments, light is usually associated with positivity so when readers come across the sun they tend to think in a positive light.

When the author wrote this poem he meant for the reader to understand that there will be many dark moments where you must find the light in the situation. The poet did a great job of making sure every line flowed smoothly with the surrounding lines. Throughout the poem, the tone was dark but at the end the poet was able to change the tone by adding some light into the situation. The more times one reads this poem, the more powerful it becomes as one relates to it more

Because the revolutionary war was costly both Washington’s new government and the state governments were in debt.

How did the revolutionary war affect the economy?

The demise of mercantilism was the most significant long-term economic impact of the Revolution. The colonial economy had been subject to a number of constraints placed by the British Empire, including limitations on commerce, settlement, and industry. New marketplaces and commercial connections were made possible by the Revolution. The biggest negative economic effects of the conflict, however, were related to money and debt. The value of continental money had dropped significantly and there was a significant rate of inflation.

The national government owed about $12 million in international debt and $44 million in domestic debt, which made problems worse. Repaying and funding government war debts were the main preoccupation of post-war economic planners, along with lowering the inflation rate and strengthening the value of the currency. Despite the fact that the unfortunate Native Americans, whose territories were further overrun, found life to be terrible as a result,
