Describe how Newton's laws relate to real world life experiences. Give an
example of each law and how it relates to real life experiences.

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

HOW NEWTON'S LAWS RELATE TO REAL WORLD LIFE EXPERIENCE

Newton's law are very important because they tie into almost everything we see in everyday life. These laws tell us exactly how things move or sit still, like why you don't float out of bed or fall through the floor of your house. Newton's laws control how cars work, how water flows, how buildings don't fall down, and basically how everything around us moves.

EXAMPLE OF NEWTON'S LAW:

° First Law: Inertia

°Second Law: Force and Acceleration

°Third Law: Action and Reaction

HOW NEWTON'S LAW RELATE TO REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE

FIRST LAW (INERTIA) :

If you throw a rock straight up, it will not vary from its direction. Inertia enables ice skaters to glide on the ice in a straight line. If the wind is blowing, a tree's branches are moving. A piece of ripe fruit that falls from the tree will fall in the direction the wind is moving because of inertia.

SECOND LAW (FORCE AND ACCELERATION) :

The use of force in our everyday life is very common. We use force to walk on the road, to lift the objects, to throw a cricket ball, or to move a given body by some particular speed or direction. We are very familiar with the various effects of force. We can exert pull and push. And also When the car slows down. When you fall off a bridge. The car turning at the corner is an example of acceleration because the direction is changing. The quicker the turns, the greater the acceleration.

THIRD LAW (ACTION AND REACTION) :

For example, when you jump, your legs apply a force to the ground, and the ground applies and equal and opposite reaction force that propels you into the air. Engineers too apply Newton's third law when designing rockets and other projectile devices.

Accident.

Answers

Answer:

Please find the answer in the explanation below.

Explanation:

Given that Alberto is on his daily commute. While texting, his car veers of the road and hits a tree, coming to a complete halt. As state law required, he was wearing a seatbelt, and walked away from the accident uninjured.

To use the  concepts of momentum, kinetic energy, and force to explain why Alberto was able to walk away from the  accident,

According to the Newton's second law of motion, the rate of the change in momentum is proportional to the force applied. that is,

F = ma

where

F = the force that caused the car to accelerate

m = mass of the car

a = the acceleration of the car.

As the car accelerated, the kinetic energy produced caused the car to hit the tree.

But according to the Newton's third law of motion, which state that;

in every action, there will be equal and opposite reaction.

The seat belt provided the reaction opposite to the action produced by the force. Which eventually halt the Kinetic energy of the person and prevented him from being getting injured.

Alberto was able to walk away from the accident because he had his seat belt on according to Newton's first law.

According to Newtons's first law of motion, an object will continue in its state of rest or uniform motion unless it is acted upon by an external, unbalanced force. This law is the reason why a passenger quickly moves forward when a car stops suddenly.

Alberto was able to walk away from the accident because he had his seat belt on which prevented him from being thrown out of the windscreen. The momentum and kinetic energy of the car is not conserved because the car sticks with the tree.

After this first encounter, the bird then turns around and flies from the runner back to the finish line, turns around again and flies back to the runner. The bird repeats the back and forth trips until the runner reaches the finish line. How far does the bird travel from the beginning (including the distance traveled to the first encounter)? Answer in units of km

Answers

Answer:

The appropriate answer will be "8.378 km".

Explanation:

The subsequent trip device runner hits B by repeating the bird. Then the time taken by that of the runner around P to hit B would be:

⇒  [tex]P=\frac{1.2556}{7.3}[/tex]

        [tex]=0.172 \ hr[/tex]

Although in this time bird has always been perpetually flying.

Distance covered by bird even before runner approach from P to B will indeed be:

=  [tex]29.2\times 0.172[/tex]

=  [tex]5.0224[/tex]

Apart from the first encounter, the overall distance traveled by bird would be:

=  [tex]5.0224+3.3556[/tex]

=  [tex]8.378 \ km[/tex]

A rock is thrown downwards from the edge of the Grand Canyon. With
what velocity will it hit the donkey-riding tourist who is 40 m below?

Answers

Answer:

Vf = 28 m/s

Explanation:

In order to find the final velocity of the rock, we will use the 3rd equation of motion. The third equation of motion for vertical direction is written as follows:

2gh = Vf² - Vi²

where,

g = acceleration due to gravity = 9.8 m/s²

h = height dropped = 40 m

Vf = final velocity of the rock = ?

Vi = Initial Velocity of the rock = 0 m/s (since, rock was initially at rest)

Therefore,

(2)(9.8 m/s²)(40 m) = Vf² - (0 m/s)²

Vf = √(784 m²/s²)

Vf = 28 m/s
