Answers

The volunteers were influenced by fear of the fires spreading, but were also motivated by a sense of duty, community, and altruism.

What is fear?

It is common for fear to play a role in people's actions during disasters such as earthquakes and fires.

Fear can drive people to act in ways they might not otherwise consider, such as volunteering to help put out fires despite the risks involved. In some cases, fear can also lead people to flee or hide, but in other cases, it can inspire bravery and a sense of duty to help others.

Other factors that may have influenced the volunteers in San Francisco could include a sense of community and camaraderie, a desire to be of service to others, a belief in the importance of public safety, and a need to take action in the face of a crisis. Additionally, some volunteers may have had specialized skills or training that made them uniquely qualified to help in the aftermath of the earthquake and fires.

What is the theme of Marigold?

The link between compassion and innocence, as well as poverty and maturity, are all major themes in Marigold.

First of all, the narrator asserts that "innocence and compassion cannot coexist" as she considers her own passage from infancy to maturity. Even if this may have been the case for her, not everyone can use this as a general rule. People might differ in their ideas and experiences.

Second, the narrator's teacher, Miss Beam, is an illustration of a person who epitomizes both innocence and compassion. Being someone who is "childlike and sensitive," Miss Beam is able to relate to children in a manner that most adults are unable to.

In conclusion, I disagree with the narrator of "Marigold" who thinks that compassion and innocence are incompatible.

what is degree of freedom?

Answers

Answer:

describes the freedom for values, or variables, to vary. Put differently, a lower degrees of freedom means that there are more constraints to the variables.

Explanation:

Number of values in the final calculation of a statistic that are free to vary;number of independent ways by which a dynamic system can move, without violating constraint;minimum number of independent coordinates that specify the position of the syste

In statistics, the number of degrees of freedom is the number of values in the final calculation of a statistic that are free to vary. Estimates of statistical parameters can be based upon different amounts of information or data. The number of independent pieces of information that go into the estimate of a parameter is called the degrees of freedom.
