Which type of reaction is shown by this general equation?
Answer:
Learning Outcomes
Classify a reaction as combination, decomposition, single-replacement, double-replacement, or combustion.
Predict the products and balance a combustion reaction.
Many chemical reactions can be classified as one of five basic types. Having a thorough understanding of these types of reactions will be useful for predicting the products of an unknown reaction. The five basic types of chemical reactions are combination, decomposition, single-replacement, double-replacement, and combustion. Analyzing the reactants and products of a given reaction will allow you to place it into one of these categories. Some reactions will fit into more than one category.
Combination Reactions
A combination reaction, also known as a synthesis reaction, is a reaction in which two or more substances combine to form a single new substance. Combination reactions can also be called synthesis reactions .The general form of a combination reaction is: A+B→AB - (5.3.1)
One combination reaction is two elements combining to form a compound. Solid sodium metal reacts with chlorine gas to product solid sodium chloride.
2Na(s)+Cl2(g)→2NaCl(s)(5.3.2)
Notice that in order to write and balance the equation correctly, it is important to remember the seven elements that exist in nature as diatomic molecules ( H2 , N2 , O2 , F2 , Cl2 , Br2 , and I2 ).
One sort of combination reaction that occurs frequently is the reaction of an element with oxygen to form an oxide. Metals and nonmetals both react readily with oxygen under most conditions. Magnesium reacts rapidly and dramatically when ignited, combining with oxygen from the air to produce a fine powder of magnesium oxide.
2Mg(s)+O2(g)→2MgO(s)(5.3.3)
Decomposition Reactions
A decomposition reaction is a reaction in which a compound breaks down into two or more simpler substances. The general form of a decomposition reaction is:
AB→A+B(5.3.4)
Most decomposition reactions require an input of energy in the form of heat, light, or electricity.
Binary compounds are compounds composed of just two elements. The simplest kind of decomposition reaction is when a binary compound decomposes into its elements. Mercury (II) oxide, a red solid, decomposes when heated to produce mercury and oxygen gas.
2HgO(s)→2Hg(l)+O2(g)(5.3.5)
A reaction is also considered to be a decomposition reaction even when one or more of the products is still a compound. A metal carbonate decomposes into a metal oxide and carbon dioxide gas. For example, calcium carbonate decomposes into calcium oxide and carbon dioxide.
CaCO3(s)→CaO(s)+CO2(g)(5.3.6)
Metal hydroxides decompose on heating to yield metal oxides and water. Sodium hydroxide decomposes to produce sodium oxide and water.

Former Major League Baseball player and radio game announcer Bob Uecker sought an injunction against Ann Ladd, alleging a six- or seven-year pattern of harassment. Ladd, who claimed to be a devoted fan, was charged with felony stalking. An injunction was issued against her bothering Uecker, but the stalking charge was dropped when she agreed to cooperate. Later, Ladd sued Uecker for defamation, claiming that Uecker defamed her in the material he filed in support of his application for the injunction. The trial court dismissed her suit, and she appealed. What do you think the outcome of her appeal was and why
Answer:
The court did not consider Ladd's appeal.
Explanation:
Quand Ladd agreed to cooperate with Uecker's claims about her disrespectful and abusive behavior towards him, she accepted that his charges were real and that they could harm her legally. Therefore, it is negligent on her part to appeal against Uecker, since she accepted his accusations. This means that the court does not accept the appeal issued, as it shows a behavior of bad faith and with exploratory characteristics.

Do you support or oppose the death penalty? Give me couple sentences and why.
Answer:
Well I do support the death penalty. Even thought it might sound harsh, I still belive in the fair law. Like what they did in the Persian empire, an eye for an eye. If you kill someone, sure you won’t be affected that much but their families won’t see you sitting in a cell for 2-3 life sentences and eventually being set free as a “justice is served” moment. In fact if you killed someone, you would be put to death. It also sets an example for other people to not convict this crime to prevent future murders or whatever violent and unlawful things that could be comed up with.
Why do we need lawyer?
Why should we buy from people and stores with good reputations?
If you do not pay your bills, what could happen?
Why do some people use a credit card instead of cash?
What danger can result if we are not careful in using a credit cards?
Answer:
1. We need a lawyer because they can defend us in front of the Jury if we do something bad.
2. We don't have to buy from those kinds of people and those kinds of stores, but it is often thought that they have good quality and everything which includes that.
3. Well, if you don't pay your electricity bill, they're going to turn the electricity off. If you don't pay your water bill your water will get turned off. And if you don't pay your loans your house might be put to sale because you have to give money in one way or another, and if you don't have any money you might end up in prison.
4. Because it's safer to keep your money in a bank instead of your pocket. They can take your materialistic things, but cannot take the money from the bank unless they know your password (which you should only know and should never write anywhere).
5. As I said in the previous one, someone may come across your password which can result in all your money being taken unless you block your bank account and report it to the police. There are many different scenarios about this situation and the procedure is long (I think) trying to get a new card with a bank account.
Those are the answers to your questions. Have a good day :-)

Proportional representation, electoral system that seeks to create a representative body that reflects the overall distribution of public support for each political party. Where majority or plurality systems effectively reward strong parties and penalize weak ones by providing the representation of a whole constituency to a single candidate who may have received fewer than half of the votes cast (as is the case, for example, in the United States), proportional representation ensures minority groups a measure of representation proportionate to their electoral support. Systems of proportional representation have been adopted in many countries, including Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.

"Only 52 per cent of women married or in a union freely
make their own decisions about sexual relations, contraceptive
use and health care. This shows that we still have a long way to
go with regards to women's rights and gender-equality worldwide"
Do you agree or disagree with the statement? Justify your answer with at
least TWO reasons.
(2x 2 =4)
Answer: Yes
Explanation: Yes, i believe there isn't enough gender equality. Their are some women til this day who don´t get to choose who they want to marry their guardians do it for them. Some of use me based on personal accounts have been told to ¨get back to the kitchen¨ which i believe is a feminine stereotype. I believe that all genders should be treated equally whether a boy, girl, or non-binary we all deserve to be treated fairly no matter what we were born with.
I agree with the statement that there is still a long way to of to women's rights and gender equality because:
52% of women being able to make such decisions is not a good enough percentage. There is still a lot of discriminatory attitudes against women in developing countries. Women's rights and gender equality52% of women being able to make the decisions described above means that there are billions of women who don't make such choices. This number is much to high and signifies how slow our progress has been.
Developing countries bear the blame for most of this discriminatory attitudes as their traditional mindsets keep women discriminated and down trodden.

Why did President Truman go before a joint session of Congress after the British announced in 1947 that they could no longer afford to support the pro-western governments of the Mediterranean in their fight against communism?
Answer:
In February 1947, the British government informed the United States that it could no longer furnish the economic and military assistance it had been providing to Greece and Turkey since the end of World War II. The Truman administration believed that both nations were threatened by communism and it jumped at the chance to take a tough stance against the Soviet Union. In Greece, leftist forces had been battling the Greek royal government since the end of World War II. In Turkey, the Soviets were demanding some manner of control over the Dardanelles, territory from which Turkey was able to dominate the strategic waterway from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean.
