Explain the economic activities of Africa

Answers

The economy of Africa consists of the trade, industry, agriculture, and human resources of the continent. As of 2019, approximately 1.3 billion people were living in 54 countries in Africa. Africa is a resource-rich continent. Recent growth has been due to growth in sales in commodities, services, and manufacturing.

Answer:

Explanation:

The main economic activity in Africa is agriculture, framed in two models: a traditional subsistence model and the other monoculture.

Likewise, another of the traditional resources is livestock, as well as fishing, which is generally exploited by foreign companies.

On the other hand, the mining area of the African culture stands out, in which the extraction of iron, manganese, copper, oil, natural gas, bauxite, uranium, gold and diamonds, destined for export, is predominant.

It should be noted that the African economy is characterized by having isolated developed territories, while the rest of the continent is plagued by underdeveloped countries, regions that are usually located on the coast and favorable lands for plantations and mining extraction.

Briefly explain the anthropocentrist and ecocentrist philosophies. What decision would each argue for in this debate? Describe what you feel would be the best argument each side could make. If this was your decision to make alone, what would you do, and why?

Answers

Answer: Anthropocentrism has a claim that protects human interest alone while ecocentrism has a claim for not just human interest but also other living things

Explanation:

Anthropocentrism Philosophy is that which has a claim that humans are the central or vital element in the world.

Ecocentrism Philosophy opposes anthropocentrism, and claims that things are more valuable than human life. This Philosophy places value on not just humans but other living things in the environment and has it that humans doesn't make rules that would be harmful.

I would go with what ecocentrism claims because it places value on things around us and not just humans. An example is how the ecosystem has to be preserved. With the right choices made in ecocentrism, there tends to be a preservation of the environment for humans.

What did African Americans claim education for their children to be

Answers

Answer:

During the Reconstruction Era, African Americans in the former slave-holding states saw education as an important step towards achieving equality, independence, and prosperity. As a result, they found ways to learn despite the many obstacles that poverty and white people placed in their path. African Americans’ commitment to education had lasting effects on the former slave-holding states. As voters and legislators, they played crucial roles in creating public schools for blacks and whites in the Southern and border states in the late 1800s.

As African Americans built lives as free people in a free society during Reconstruction, they eagerly sought opportunities to learn. Before Emancipation, whites generally denied or restricted African Americans’ access to education in an effort to justify and maintain slavery. Learning to read therefore became a symbol of freedom for African Americans in the former slave-holding states. African Americans had other reasons for making literacy a priority after slavery ended. Many hoped that education would improve their economic circumstances and offer some protection from fraud and exploitation. They also saw education as important preparation for participating in civic life.

Create a thesis statement about how slavery impacted America

Answers

Answer:

In “American Slave” It teaches me and explains how it was hard for black people because at the time black people were treated unfairly. American Slave shows how slavery hardens people, teaching them to hate and harm rather than to love and treat everyone equally. There were a lot of things black people couldn’t do. They couldn’t sit in the front of the bus, there had to be a different school for only black people, they had to drink out of a small water fountain while white people had the nice big one. Most of all black people were treated differently because of the color of their skin.

Our society today is still having discrimination with black people. There’s a lot of bad cops that are arresting and shooting black people for no reason. There’s bad cops who treat black people differently from white people when getting arrested or pulled over. They will be all relaxing with white people when they tell them to get out the vehicle and calm, when they talk to them. When it comes to black people, they drag them out of their car and either have a group of cops on top of them or shoot them. Bad cops should keep their opinion towards black people to themselves then taking it out on them using violence.

The amount of water vapor in the air compared to the amount the air can hold: relative humidity measure. Thus, option D is the correct option.

What does relative humidity measure?

Water vapor is also measured by relative humidity (RH), which is stated as a percentage but relative to the air's temperature. In other words, it is a comparison between the quantity of water vapor that is really present in the air and the maximum amount of vapor that is possible for the air at the current temperature.

With the same amount of absolute/specific humidity, air will have a higher relative humidity if it is cooler and a lower relative humidity if it is warmer because warm air can contain more water vapor (moisture) than cold air. The actual quantity of moisture (absolute humidity) in the air is what we "feel" outside.

Answer:

Georgia, legal case in which the U.S. Supreme Court on March 3, 1832, held (5–1) that the states did not have the right to impose regulations on Native American land.

Explanation:

Answer:

here!

Explanation:

Worcester vs. Georgia was a legal case in the U.S. Supreme Court held on March 3, 1832, and this held that the states did not have rights to impose regulations on native american land.

This incident involved a group of white christian missioners including Samuel A. Worcester who were currently living Cherokee (a native american tribe) territory in Georgia. And as the bickering and threatening went on between the white men harassing the Cherokee natives, the Georgia state authorities finally arrested Worcester and his fellow men and passed an act in 1830 forbidding "white men" to live on Cherokee land unless they obtained a license from the governor of Georgia and swore an oath of loyalty for the state. After the arrest, the men were convicted a trial in 1831 and ultimately got sentenced to four years of hard labor in prison .

But Worcester was not happy about this and appealed to the Supreme Court. He argued that Georgia had no right to extend its law to the Cherokee land. He contended that the act under which he'd been arrested for was violating the U.S. Constitution which gives the U.S. Congress the authority to regulate commerce with Native Americans. And although this accusation from Worcester got shut down by the Supreme Court, he still wanted to try again and accuse Georgia laws for violating an 1802 act of Congress that regulated trade and relations between the United States and the Indian Tribes.

And although shut down the first time, Worcester's second point of Georgia laws regarding the Cherokee nation being unconstitutional and thus void- persuaded the court and that led to Chief Justice John Marshall to create a law saying, "the Indian nations had always been considered as distinct, independent political communities, retaining their original natural rights as the undisputed possessors of the soil."

But Georgia decided to keep their ways and kept Worcester and the other missionaries in prison and were eventually released in 1833.

And although President Jackson declined to enforce the Supreme Court's decision, thus allowing the states to further enact legislation damaging to the tribes leading to the U.S. government forcing the Cherokee and many other Native American tribes off of their land in 1838 known as the Trail of the Tears.
