1.- La razón nos permite pensar. Los humanos tenemos la oportunidad -a deferenica de los animales- de usar la razón para poder tomar decisiones todos los días.
Esto nos permite discernir o diferenciar los argumentos que respaldan nuestras decisiones y nuestras acciones.
2.- La lógica. Cuando razonamos usamos un pensamiento lógico, estructurado. Esto nos permite usar números, cantidades, cifras, datos.
Podemos comparar esos datos, hacer operaciones numéricas, estadísticas, y usar la lógica de los resultados para tomar una decisión.
Argumentos en contra.
1.- Si solo nos basamos en la razón, nos podemos converir en personas "insensibles," que sólo toman en cuenta los datos, los números, y no las emociones, que muchas veces también nos orientan.
Si la mente humana no considera los sentimientos y las emociones, se está perdiendo un factor importante que al final nos afecta. Porque después de haber tomado una decisión, ésta afecta nuestra vida, y por ende, a nuestras emociones.
2.- Si nuestro pensamiento sólo es lógico, estamos eliminando un factor importante en el humano que es la intuición.
La intuición ese ese "sexto sentido" que nos indica lo que debemos hacer o no en determinado momento, aunque no haya una lógica que lo sostenga.
Muchas veces la intuición se contrapone a la razón, pero es ese "impulso" interno que nos invita a actuar, a pesar de que no tiene lógica alguna.
Podemos concluir que la razón es de vital importancia en nuestras vidas para poder pensar mejor. Sin embargo, lo más apropiado es que exista un equilibrio entre la razón y el sentimiento, porque al final de cuentas, las emociones están involucradas.
