Read these stanzas from “The Chimney Sweeper.” What is the best summary of the events the stanzas describe?

And so he was quiet, and that very night
As Tom was a-sleeping he had such a sight!
That thousands of sweepers, D ick, Joe, Ned, and Jack,
Were all of them locked up in coffins of black;

And by came an Angel who had a bright key,
And he opened the coffins and set them all free;
Then down a green plain, leaping, laughing they run,
And wash in a river and shine in the Sun.

Then naked and white, all their bags left behind,
They rise upon clouds, and sport in the wind.
And the Angel told Tom, if he'd be a good boy,
He'd have God for his father and never want joy.

A. Tom dreamed that the speaker died and went to heaven.

B. Tom died during the night and went to heaven.

How was Brian’s life before the plane crash and then how was it after the plane crash? Need it ASAP!!!!

Answers

Answer:

Brian's changes are physical as well. He no longer eats the fatty, indulgent foods of the city and must survive on what he can forage and hunt for in the wild. Thus, he becomes healthier than he was before the plane crash. ... At first, Brian is devastated and even wishes for death when the plane leaves.

Since the plane crash in Hatchet, Brian's hunger has changed in that he no longer craves fast food or sweets. Instead, his hunger is now fixated on hunting and foraging.

A Speech to the Student Body of Evergreen High

[1] Picture this: It's Spring Break, and you fly off to some country where there's lush rainforests and beautiful, blue coastlines to explore. There's also people in need, so you decide to blend your vacation with volunteering. Volunteering as a tourist, or voluntourism, seems like a great way to explore new regions and help people at the same time. However, this "volunteer plus travel" experience can actually harm local communities. While many teens might view traveling and volunteering abroad as a worthwhile adventure, there are more genuine and effective ways to make a difference.

[2] Most would agree that volunteering in general is a worthy use of time. However, what if you found out the children you are "helping" are actually being kept in poor conditions so voluntourists will spend money to come to the local area? Dale Rolfe, a supporter of ethical voluntourism, explains the shocking reality that "Animal sanctuaries and orphanages are often manufactured for the voluntourist…encouraging a cycle of exploiting the very animals and children the volunteers are trying to help."

[3] Proponents of the "volunteer plus travel" experience also argue that traveling to new places builds character and is a valuable way to learn about different cultures. With voluntourism, however, participants often pursue experiences that are all about them. For example, they sign up to build a school for a gold star on their resume, but they have no real building skills and take jobs away from local construction workers (Schulten). Or, they arrive to teach English but instead take selfies with the locals. One world traveler and ethical voluntourist believes voluntourism "can perpetuate small minded views of the world by taking insulated, fake, and structured experiences and selling them as unabridged and eye opening" (Carlos). The voluntour experience is a mirage. The voluntourist's eyes are not opened to real life at the destination, and lasting change is not achieved.

[4] If you want a genuine experience where you can see a lasting impact, there are better options than voluntourism. You can volunteer in your local community. Give an hour every week to your town's animal rescue. Serve monthly dinners to the homeless. Be a reliable, positive influence on a child who needs a mentor. Studies show that volunteering and forming lasting relationships with those you help has a positive impact on your physical and emotional health. In fact, blood pressure is reduced, memory is improved, and rates of depression are reduced (Michaels).

[5] There is another reason to look into alternatives to voluntourism. Did you know the average "voluntour" travel package costs $3,400 (Rolfe)? Could that travel money be better spent? If the world's citizens are your passion, it could go to an international organization. If you care about education, your funds can be used to buy books for students in faraway lands. If you want villagers to have clean water, contribute funds to local efforts to dig wells. If you want to experience a different culture, travel to the country as a guest, and learn from the locals how you can best help them after you've returned home. But do not voluntour.

[6] In reality, there are better ways to make a difference. Voluntourism might appear to be an adventure that blends travel and helping others, but it does little except provide a costly, superficial experience that might actually do more harm than good. So, volunteer where you are most needed-at home, where you can stay to see the job through and form genuine, lasting relationships. Choose a beautiful coastline closer to home and send the travel money you saved to an international organization that will put it to good use. Whatever you do, don't turn someone else's hardship into your vacation.

Chapter 1 Alex
By: KiKi

He was walking all alone. Normally everybody just kicked me and said scam, but he just looked at me then said “Hello there”. That was the day my life changed forever. Hello my name is Hikari, I'm a little black and white cat and this is how my life changed forever. It all started that fateful day I was in the alley next to the two legs food place. Then all of a sudden I heard “Here Kitty, Kitty” I looked up and there he was, But like always I just ran to the back of the alley and hid behind a box. Then he came closer and put his hand out. I have no idea what was in his hand but it really smelled delicious. I sniffed his hand then slowly came closer. Then I quickly took a bite then ran away. I hopped on a box then leaped up the back gate that leaped to another alley on the other side. I didn't see him again until about a week later when he was walking on the sidewalk when I smelled that delicious stuff again. I followed it to his pocket and then he looked down at me and said “ There you are” with a smile on his face. To be honest he looked tired like he had been up all night doing something, it was weird because he was the only two legs that looked like that. He tried to pet me but I quickly ran to the other side of the street then looked back at him. He looked so sad. So I did what no other animals would do. I ran back across the street and let him pet me. At first I was scared but then he picked me up and Immediately I felt safe, like I no longer had to worry about what I'm going to eat for the next week or sleep at night. I finally felt safe. He took me to his car then got in. I don't know what happened after that I guess I blacked out. I woke up in a small room. It was dark, but not too dark, I could still see. I got up from the floor and hopped up on a bed and saw him lying there. The blanket was on the floor for some weird reason. I hop down and grab the blanket by my mouth and try to pull the blanket on to the bed. It was really heavy but I could manage. I pulled it onto the bed then pulled it on him. I shoved my head up under his arm then layed down so that way he was holding me. I looked u at the moon then realized what was soon going to happen.

How do the events in these chapters stress the idea that teamwork is important for
survival in the Hunger Games? How does this message conflict with the rules and values
that surround the Games?

Answers

Hunger Games is a story, in which the main message is team work can lead to survival.

The Hunger Games is story written by Suzanne Collins. The story focuses on team up which leads to mutual benefit.

The team work leads to survival as its makes every member of the team emotionally strong.

It is essential to have common goal which will create synergy effect if all members of the team are trying to gain common benefit.

In this story the motive of the team is survival and they try to keep them alive during hazardous situation.

Learn more at https://brainly.com/question/24373797

These events I have listed here stressed that teamwork is important for survival due to the following reasons:

Peeta helped to save Katniss's life after she blacked out from a sting.Katniss and Rue bonded, in the course of their bonding, Rue helped Katniss to remove the venom from the stings that she got.Rue on her own part was cold and had nothing to keep warm. Katniss offered to share her sleeping bag with her.

These helps were all offered at the point of need. This goes to show that when people team up they can survive better than when they try to do things on their own.

Katniss started to feel more secure with  her bow and having Rue as an ally and as someone that she could talk to.

This message conflicts with the rules of the game because only one person can be the winner. Having allies contradicts this rule.

The game only requires a sole survivor. It is contradictory when someone saves the other person that is obviously an obstacle to her victory.
